Permanent lip liner is designed to make the lips appear fuller and luscious. It is also designed to add a more symmetrical shape to the lip outline. As we age, the lip line flattens and often looks as if it’s fading outward into the skin.
Like lip tattooing, permanent lip liner lasts for up to five years before needing to be touched up. Again, numbing cream is applied first to minimize the pain.
When it’s done right, a permanent lip liner looks like a full lip tattoo job from a distance. However, only a close up photograph shows how much it simply makes the lip line look as if it’s fading into the body of the lips.
